Consultants to work with us at
Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust in
Urology.


We are looking for a dedicated doctors ready to work in a Trust striving to make patient experiences better than ever.


A consultant urologist is a specialized medical professional responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and management of diseases and conditions related to the urinary tract system in both males and females, as well as the male reproductive system.


Their job description typically includes:

  • Assessing and diagnosing urological conditions such as kidney stones, urinary tract infections, prostate issues, bladder problems, erectile dysfunction, and cancers (prostate, bladder, kidney, testicular, etc.).
  • Developing treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, which may involve medications, lifestyle changes, surgical procedures, or other interventions.
  • Performing surgeries related to urological conditions, such as prostatectomies, cystectomies, nephrectomies, or surgeries for urinary incontinence, among others.
  • Providing postoperative care and monitoring patients' progress after treatments or surgeries.
  • Communicating effectively with patients and their families to explain diagnoses, treatments, and potential outcomes. Providing compassionate care and support throughout the treatment process.

Hours per week: 20-40 hours available

Start date: ASAP- no end date, this is on-going, the client will accept short term contracts

Rate of pay per hour: £97-£120 depending on experience

  • Valid GMC
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Clinical attachment complete
  • Minimum of 3 months paid experience in the NHS/UK
