What will this role achieve?


Within this exciting role you will benefit from having exposure throughout the supply operation, you will support the supply planning and scheduling of our co pack operation(s) to maximise customer service, optimise efficiencies and maintain an appropriate level of working capital.


Working closely with Demand Planning, Material Requirements Planning, customer services and the factory operational team, this role requires regular liaison with other areas of the business to support tactical decisions relating to key critical metrics such as customer service, inventory & cost.

You will need to operate proactively to manage within the volatile FMCG environment.

The role holder will be located at our newly refurbished Global Head Office in Chiswick Park.

What will be your key deliverables?

  • Support the factory detailed capacity plan & master production schedule to deliver 98% inbound service level;
  • Convert the next 2 weeks into the factory production schedule, balancing the optimal line efficiency with customer service demands
  • Provide support to the team in morning reviews to ensure mínimal stoppages / waste on line
  • Review daily stock levels with the Customer Service teaM/Factory to mitigate any potential customer shorts
  • Attend the mediumterm planning meeting each month to lead site expectations of the forward capacity plan & ensure all lines of products have the required capacity to service the market
  • Use inventory analytics data to minimise excessive production
  • Remove dead stock through setting optimal safety stocks
  • Prevent waste in the form of clearance & finished product scrap
  • Identify nonvalue add SKUs to be rationalised
  • Work closely with European sites to ensure on time deliveries
  • Control & maintain master data within the planning system to ensure accuracy of plans and full automation where possible
  • Own sections of the planning document and regularly review / update the operating principles between the site & central planning team
  • Multiskilling, learn to cover at least one other supply planning role
  • Visit sites to collaborate & improve relationships as & when required
  • Flexibility, focus and commit where required to ensure delivery of business results
Bring your experience

  • Some understanding of endtoend Supply Chain Planning processes
  • If you do not have Supply experience we will consider Graduates
  • Validated IT skills with strong spreadsheet knowledge e.g. Excel
  • Highly numerate and analytical
  • Ability to work independently and manage own workload, work under own initiative, also have the ability to work optimally with cross functional teams
  • Own workload, prioritise and cope with pressure in fast paced environment
  • Capable and experienced in developing strong commercial plans with a demonstrated ability in understanding key levers to drive profitable growth and demonstrate opportunities
Desirable

  • Validated experience of working for FMCG / retail organisation, ideally with experience of manufacturing environment
