What you need to know about the role
We are currently seeking a dedicated Weighbridge Operator to join our team.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics department, with responsibilities ranging from the detailed weighing of vehicles to the coordination of product movement and compliance checks.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to;

Weighing Operations: Undertake the detailed weighing of road and rail vehicles

Product Coordination: Manage the effective receipt and safe coordination of all products entering and exiting our site.

Legal Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with the Weights & Measures Act 198-
Security and Compliance: Facilitate and participate in security and compliance checks to maintain high safety standards.

Customer Interaction: Engage in face-to-face interaction with delivery drivers and visitors to our site and providing excellent customer service.

Reporting: Manage and distribute accurate reports.

System Operations: Operate CCTV and other weighbridge data systems - such as radiation monitoring - to ensure security and operational efficiency.

Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with multiple stakeholders, including Security, Commercial, Transport, and other agencies, to align our operations with our organisational goals.

Safety Checks: Conduct critical safety and equipment checks to prevent accidents and ensure the integrity of our operations.

Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties, maintain external driver docking stations and support systems to uphold our facility standards.

Administrative Support: Handling of delivery and goods receipts and the ordering of critical equipment and store items.

Communication: Answer phone calls professionally and engage in report writing to document activities and findings.

Compliance Verification: Carry out various permit checks to adhere to regulatory requirements.
