As a Barclays Data Partner, you will join Chief Data Office which is responsible for defining Barclays' data and records management strategy, policy and standards and governing a pipeline of data usage initiatives across the business.

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for activation, transition and maintenance of a specific set of Data Domain within the Corporate & Investment Bank, strengthening the Control Environment, ensuring adherence to Group Data Strategy, Policy and Standards.

What you'll be doing?:


  • You will be involved in the management of a designated set of Corporate & Investment Bank Data Domains, proactively facilitating engagement to strengthen the data quality
  • Leading the governance of mandatory metadata ensuring accuracy and completeness within the Barclay Data Catalogue in line with the Data Standard
  • Taking Ownership of Data Council and CDO Forum submissions, including active stakeholder management of Council members in addition to leading specific data domain working groups
  • Leading both medium and longterm planning to support data maturity transformation within allocated data domains and in conjunction with the overarching CIB business strategy
  • Being accountable for the content and commentary of the overall positioning of the Data Domain
  • Assessing new demand to understand datarelated requirements and assess impacts on Standards and ownership across CIB CDO and provide input into novel usage of Data.

What we're looking for:


  • Experience in data management, risk and controls within a financial services
  • Demonstrable track record of project delivery and adapting to a changing environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to brief senior leaders and influence
  • Flexible and able to operate in and adapt to a fastpaced, changing environment and timelines,

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Corporate or Investment Banking experience
  • Delivery within a regulatory environment e.g. Basel, BCBS 239 etc.
