The Role & Key Responsibilities

It is our mission to identify and protect vulnerable people, prevent and respond to harm and keep people safe.

An opportunity has arisen in the East Sussex Administrative Support Assistants Team.

This is a part time vacancy of 20 hours and can be based from either Eastbourne Hammonds Drive or Hastings Police Station.


You will form part of a small team whose role is to support our investigative function with administrative case file tasks including redaction and the preparation of rebuttable presumption material, you will also complete case file triage checks for pre-charge case files prior to their submission to the Crown Prosecution Service.


This is an important role that supports our aim of reducing officers time spent on administrative functions and driving forward our case file quality.


System training will be provided as required at Headquarters, however, role training will be provided by the existing team and a mentor will be appointed to support that learning process.

Skills & Experience

Experience of NICHE would be beneficial, however, this is not a barrier and training can be given.

Understanding of evidential casefile processes, however, internal support and training will be provided.

Ability to work within a team environment, but also independently.
