Description
Our client is a chemical manufacturer based in West Yorkshire. They are looking for a Maintenance Scheduler to come to the site and help with the preventative maintenance. You will be reporting to the Lead Planner and ideally have a background as a maintenancetechnician.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To schedule resources and produce detailed plans for maintenance activities including daily and annual based shutdowns, including all maintenance disciplines.
  • Follow safe working systems and practices, maintain housekeeping standards, taking responsibility for personal actions and the safety of others.
  • Ensure personal compliance with all procedures which control Major Accident Hazards.
  • Receive Gantt charts from planners and produce a 714 day agreed detailed schedule, working closely which each discipline Team Leader.
  • Receive Gantt charts from planners and produce detailed forward plans for annual based maintenance, working closely which each discipline Team Leader.
  • Communication, negotiation and coordination with plant staff to determine the availability of equipment for maintenance.
  • Make changes to daily plans to accommodate schedule breakers.
  • Communicate plans across the site to stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BTEC or City and Guilds Level 2 (Preferably Maintenance Qualification but not essential)
  • Microsoft Project Advanced.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in scheduling maintenance activities in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in scheduling multidiscipline engineering teams.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, negotiate work priorities with internal customers / manage expectations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead meetings with major stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with SAP environment.
  • Good PC skills inclusive of Microsoft Office.
  • Good working knowledge of maintenance operations.
  • Application of Health & Safety requirements whilst planning tasks.
