We are working alongside a reputable and dynamic housing provider to recruit a Decant Coordinator on a permanent basis.


This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in coordinating technical decant cases, ensuring efficient processes and exceptional customer service.

As the Decant Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the technical decant process for residents.

Working closely with operational teams and customers to ensure that cases are prioritised and progressed effectively, resulting in mínimal delays.

Your proactive approach will involve identifying solutions and facilitating regular case meetings to address any issues that may arise.


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with Housing Options Service teams to identify suitable properties for technical decant customers, prioritising their move.
  • Develop productive relationships with customers, accompanying them to viewings and encouraging them to accept property offers to facilitate a swift decant.
  • Coordinate efforts with colleagues to ensure the efficient setup of all aspects of the decant, such as rent payments, bills, and council tax.
  • Maintain clear records of each technical decant case, tracking and monitoring progress to identify key next steps and drive case advancement.
  • Keep key stakeholders informed about case progression through regular updates.
  • Facilitate case meetings with operational teams, presenting information to address issues and seek solutions, acting as a mediator when consensus is challenging.
  • Complete a comprehensive checklist at the end of the process to ensure all necessary actions have been completed for case closure.
  • Independently assess and resolve problems related to the decant process, using initiative, knowledge, and judgment.
  • Provide excellent customer service by acting as a point of contact for customers, offering regular updates at specific points in the process.
  • Process customers' requests for reimbursement of reasonable expenses.

Requirements:


  • GCSE standard C or above in Maths and English.
  • Previous experience working with stakeholders, including managers, to achieve project or initiative progress.
  • Experience assisting customers with complex issues.
  • Proficient in using IT systems, such as a CRM, when assisting customers.
  • Experience in social housing.
  • Knowledge of the technical decant or other decant processes.
  • Project management or delivery experience.
