[PURPOSE OF THE JOB]


The Human Resources Advisor actively supports the operation of the business by providing an effective and professional HR service covering the full generalist remit.


MAIN RESPONSBILITIES:


  • First Line support for Managers and Staff in EHQ and UK with day to day HR queries
  • Support Head of HR for Employment relations issues such as absence management, disciplinary, grievances
  • Providing support for sickness issues, short term and long term
  • On boarding of new starters; induction, helping Managers with objection setting
  • Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety for the three offices in the UK
  • Assist Head of HR with the performance reviews and appraisals including evaluating feedback and addressing training needs of employees
  • Ensure that the recruitment and selection procedures for all UK sites are adhered to from start to end with relevant forms completed. Conduct interviews with managers. Alongside help from the HR Assistant advertise internally and externally regularly liaising with agencies. Ensure interviews are conducted in a fair and consistent manner with feedback given for each applicant.
  • Support of administering benefits and insurances; organising renewals of employee benefit insurances and business insurances, reporting to Manager
  • Carry out exit processes with leavers, ensuring information is recorded correctly for reporting purposes
  • In charge of HRIS system, updating, creating workflows where required, training of Staff and Manager
  • Maintaining and supporting HMM's sponsorship license; administrating SMS, ensuring all files are compliant and assisting with the onboarding of Seconded Staff
  • Reporting on time management system and addressing issues with Employees / Line Managers
  • Manage staff relationships, promptly respond to queries and manage expectations
  • Support Head of HR across the business to monitor, review and update all policies in line with current legislation and best practices
  • Providing assistance for HR projects

  • In order to meet business needs a degree of flexibility may be required and the post holder may need to perform work not specifically referred to in the above.
  • Support Head of HR for HR issues for HMM offices in Europe.

WORK SKILLS, GENERAL AND SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE:

  • Recruitment and Selection
  • Employee relations experience
  • Knowledge of UK and EU employment legislation
  • Training and Development
  • Performance Management
  • Strong administration skills

PERSONAL BEHAVIOURS, EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES:


  • Previous relevant HR Generalist experience
  • Degree qualified or equivalent
  • Knowledge of current UK and EU employment legislation
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Good interpersonal skills and good organisational skills
  • Ability to use own initiative to solve issues
  • Ability to work effectively independently and within a team
  • Sensitive and tactful with issues
  • Exhibit high level of integrity and ethics to ensure fairness across HR practices
  • Ability to be adapt to changes and meet deadlines
