Our Smart Guards work closely with management, and various local authorities, being an imperative asset to the success of our sites.

You are responsible (but not limited) for responding to any emergencies in the geographical area you support, complete welfare checks and train officers and ensure all documents are completed to an excellent standard in each site.
This role will suit anyone who is looking to progress into management or training.
Securitas has many development opportunities and invest in your goals such as accredited qualifications, for example, ILM and IOSH.
- **Working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (Nights only)**:

Your responsibilities will include:


  • Responsible for access control, ensuring visitors are correctly screened prior to accessing the property.
  • Checking for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, and unauthorised personnel.
  • Provide a proactive approach to all security related issues throughout the juration of the duty, utilising both knowledge and technology
  • Ensure the safety of Staff, Service Users and Visitors, communicating any irregularities to the client.
  • Following procedures for various initiatives including fire presenting, traffic control and accident investigations.
  • Liaise with LEAs (Local housing Officers) in respect of Serious incidents.
  • Protect the company's assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues.
  • Monitor safe working practices for contractors on site, providing additional support to the client's staff when attending locations.
  • Regular internal and external patrols, maintaining logs and reporting concerns and incidents.
  • Respond to alarms and emergencies, reporting noncompliance with occupancy to client (e.g., smoking in Room).
  • Conduct shift handover procedures at the start and end of each shift, ensuring all matters of concern or notes that occurred during your shift are passed on.
  • Complete random checks with any operative within the hotel boundary.
  • Any other duties as directed by Service Delivery Manager

Essential Skills:

Right to work in the UK, 5-year checkable history and pass necessary security vetting, such as Enhanced DBS

  • SIA Licence.
  • Full clean driving licence, able to commute to and from site and work weekends, day and night shifts.
  • Able to work a 4 on 4 off nights.
  • Able to resolve problems quickly and with integrity you will be working with confidential information.
  • Great customer service skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with a good standard of IT and organisational skills.
  • Actively works towards ambitious personal goals, demonstrates enthusiasm toward all aspects of work.

Desirable skills:


  • Fire Warden desirable but not essential (full training can be provided).
