Do you have a passion for people and care about helping others? We are looking for a Counsellor to provide professional onsite counselling to our team of Content Moderators.


What we require from you

  • Being able to assess employees through detailed conversations, interviews and observations to determine the appropriate level of support
  • Facilitating oneonone sessions to prevent longterm distress caused by experiencing or witnessing inappropriate content
  • Developing and recommending shortterm support plans based on testing and evaluation
  • Recommending appropriate coping mechanisms to help them through tough situations
  • Collaborating with managers and other team members to provide the best support possible
  • Ensuring all services are completed according to relevant ethical and professional standards of care
  • Planning and organizing different activities (team building and other events)
  • Signposting external services where required
  • Completing, updating and maintaining all necessary documentation, records and reports in an accurate and timely manner

What you'll need

  • Diploma in counselling from a recognized course which meets the requirements for BACP (or equivalent) accreditation (Desirable)
  • Experience in managing and supporting multiple clients (individuals) with very different needs at the same time
  • Knowledge of structure, process and policy within the mental health sector
  • Experience in building relationships with the ability to motivate and encourage a team, handling difficult or challenging situations and conversations
  • Understanding and promoting ethical practice and recognized mental health and wellbeing models of care
  • Ability to demonstrate emotional stability to handle the stress and emotional turmoil that can be caused by people who are distressed
  • Openminded, tolerant and comfortable in daily exposure to highly sensitive content
  • Ability to coordinate with support networks, government resources and community resources that will support the Content Moderators
  • PC literacy with a good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
