Role Summary:


The Parker Meggitt manufacturing division within Shepshed are very pleased to be given the opportunity to recruit a further Composite Laminator.

Ideally, we're currently looking for Production Workers to train within the Composites division to grow, adapt and climb within Parker Meggitt.

You will be responsible initially for all things production.

You will be working day shifts along the production line to ensure all products that are manufactured are that of the perfect standard.

After some time within Production, you will then move onto Composites, where you will train to become one of the team of Composite Laminators.


Core Responsibilities:


Production Operative Responsibilities:

  • Follows instructions in order to Mould and/or Finish products to specific instructions and drawings
  • Conducts inspections of own and other associates' work to ensure correctness per company and customer drawing
  • Maintains work area under company guidelines and participates in events as required
  • Actively demonstrates all safety policies and procedures

Composite Laminator Responsibilities:

  • Operating and maintaining composite production equipment, including laminating machines
  • Preparing composite materials for production, including mixing resins and cutting fiberglass fabrics
  • Laminating composite materials according to specified production processes and procedures
  • Inspecting finished composite products for defects and ensuring that they meet quality standards

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:


  • Production experience is desired
  • Able to operate a variety of hand tools and machinery
  • Confident in own ability
  • Willing to learn a new trade if necessary
  • Composites or Laminating experience is not required
  • Good manual dexterity is required to work with small parts
  • Capable of recognising and solving typical problems that can occur in own work area; evaluates and selects solutions from established options
