Business Analyst to support client requested changes impacting the calypso platform.

2 days per week in office in London

Minimum 6 month contract with possible extension, January start date


Role Purpose

  • The Calypso project follows the agile approach, with monthly test and release cycles.
A strong working relationship will be required with all key stakeholders, including (but not limited to):


  • Calypso Product Delivery and IT teams
  • Other BAs, Subject Matter Experts and System Analysts across other related projects (e.g. Markit/ICON/Multifonds)
  • Collateral and Derivative Operations teams in Europe and Asia
  • Valuation control teams in Europe and Asia
  • Product Managers for impacted functions, e.g. Collateral, Derivatives, A&V, Custody

Key Accountabilities

  • Work with the respective business teams and/or external clients to capture detailed requirements for change requests and/or BAU issues assigned by the Calypso Project Manager
  • Capture requirements in Confluence and breakdown into individual Jira stories for development
  • Work closely with Calypso IT and other platform teams to devise solutions, seeking input and feedback from the respective business teams
  • Play an active role in client onboarding, including assessing and defining operating models, identifying and resolving potential issues, participating in client meetings, workshops and presentations etc.
  • Take an active role in daily standups, working groups and team meetings, providing updates and suggested improvements
  • Participate in SIT testing and help to coordinate UAT and JUAT with internal stakeholders and clients. Prepare and execute test plans/scripts
  • Provide SME support for BAU queries and issues as required
  • Assist with the training of new joiners and less experienced staff
  • Advocate the use of agile and educate stakeholders on release cycles

Skills:


  • 5 years+ Calypso experience
  • Middle Office experience
  • Good knowledge of OTC products
  • Configuration experience
