Band 3 Physiotherapy Assistant, Orthopaedics, Permanent 37.5, hours a week. Pilgrim Hospital, Boston.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed person to join the Orthopaedic Integrated Therapy Team at Pilgrim Hospital Boston as a Band 3 Physiotherapy Assistant.
The successful applicant will work closely with and carry out rehabilitation programmes directed by the Physiotherapist.
To undertake specific skilled support work to aid the rehabilitation of patients.
The post-holder will work on a 7-day cycle. They will be responsible for the management and supervision of the Assistants orthopaedic weekend rota.
To accept patients referred by the Physiotherapist and carry as own patient caseload.
Treat patients according to set treatment protocols, monitoring progression and make minor alterations as required.
Work unsupervised reporting back patient progress and informing the Physiotherapist of any problems or concerns.
Make lone home visits to patients for post discharge review, using the "Buddy" system to ensure your safety.
The department is committed to staff development through in-service training and a competency based assessment programme.
