UE03 £21,978 to £22,681 per annum, pro rata (A revised salary range for this grade of £22,214 to £24,248 is planned to take effect from Spring 2024)

Full Time contract: 35 Hours per week
**Fixed Term: 12 Weeks


The Opportunity:


Working in the Roslin Institute Public Engagement team at the University of Edinburgh's Easter Bush Campus, and with the other members of the Science Insights team based at research institutes across the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, the Schools Engagement Intern will co-develop engagement materials for in-person and online delivery to our audience of senior phase high school pupils from a range of social and economic backgrounds.

The internship will also include opportunities to develop content for social media and the web, and to support other events in the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine Public Engagement summer programme.


This post is an ideal opportunity for someone who shares our enthusiasm for and is keen to contribute to our work in widening participation and access to science education for young people all over Scotland.


This internship is part of the on Campus programme which is run by the Careers Service in collaboration with University departments and Schools.

It offers exclusive summer internships at the University over the summer for 2nd year to penultimate-year undergraduate students from the University of Edinburgh based in the UK.

You cannot take part if you are a visiting student, or you have already taken part in the programme before.
