Applications are invited from NMC registered nurses and midwives or midwives with the following qualifications to undertake the 13 month Specialist Community Public Health Nursing - School Nursing Course within Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale in conjunction with Salford University commencing September 202- 120 credits at level 6 or evidence of level 6 study within the last 3 years

  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
Main duties of the job

This course will prepare you for a career in school nursing as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse.


The course is a mixture of academic studies and clinical work in a supportive skill mixed team in a defined geographical area working in partnership with children, young people and their families and a variety of voluntary and statutory agencies.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

  • This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as an Registered Nurse or Midwife in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC PIN within the next 3 months. Please note an NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role._

  • Applicants must be an NMC Registered Nurse or Midwife,120 credits at level 6 or evidence of level 6 study, GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English (Certificates must be provided)
