We're hiring for a
Purchasing Assistant to join a well-established manufacturing business based in
Hazel Grove, Stockport. Due to economic growth, a position has become vacant for a proactive and efficient Purchasing Administrator to provide essential support to the Purchasing Manager.

What will you be doing as a Purchasing Assistant?

  • Building & maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
  • Creating Purchase Orders using Sage 200 accurately and timely to meet demand and stock replenishment
  • Having the confidence and ability to negotiate costs from suppliers
  • Understanding stock in relation to purchase orders
  • Forecasting Supplier International Payments
  • Updating product code with new pricing using Sage when required
  • Assisting with any Invoice pricing queries
  • Providing updates and communicating with Goods In regarding daily shipments

What do you need?

  • Confident telephone manner and excellent customer service skills
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience in Sage 200 is an advantage but not essential
  • The ability to maintain performance in challenging circumstances
  • Effective organisation to ensure priorities, goals and deadlines are achieved
  • Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills

Salary:
£25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
