Exciting times are ahead at St John's as we have just transitioned from an Infant school to a Primary school starting with our Year 3 class September 2023.

Are you interested in joining the St John's family and being part of our new adventures?

Over the next 4 years we will build year on year right up until we have Year 6, which is what the children, parents, staff and governors have been aspiring to for a considerable amount of time.

The governors, staff and pupils are therefore seeking to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic ETA to support groups of children and children with SEND who need one to one support.

This is a fixed term post to cover maternity leave. As our school is growing, there is potential for this position to be extended or become permanent.

If this sounds of interest to you and you would like to join our dedicated team then we would love to hear from you.

The St John's family are looking for someone who:

  • Caring, patient, thoughtful and willing to demonstrate our school values.
  • Friendly and able to form strong relationships with other staff and children.
  • Committed to working 1:1 with children to meet their needs on an EHCP's.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and groups of children.
  • Support children over break times and lunchtimes (inside and outside) to meet their needs.
  • Able to set and achieve high standards and expectations in learning, behaviour and care.
  • Able to work in a team and adapt their practice.
  • Creative in their approach to children's learning.
  • Enthusiastic and dedicated to enabling every child to fulfil their potential.
  • Someone who enjoys taking a full part in the wider life of our school.
  • Good quality maths and literacy skills to help the children with their learning.
  • Have excellent behaviour management skills.

We can offer you:

  • A happy, inclusive school that serves a diverse community where everyone is respected and valued.
  • A hard working, experienced and supportive team of staff and governors to work alongside.
  • Children who take pride in their learning and value their school life.
  • Parents and carers who appreciate the efforts of school staff and are very much part of the St John's family.
  • Excellent professional development opportunities.

Interviews to take place week commencing W/c 20th February 2023
