We are currently recruiting for an experienced
HR Generalist to join our
HR Department.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to continue their career growth and projection on the path to become a HR Manager or HR Business Partner and to work within the expeditious Geospatial industry.

The successful applicant will be reporting to the Group HR Manager and will be based in our London office.


Key Responsibilities


To provide HR support across the full employee life cycle, including employee engagement, recruitment & selection, performance management, compensation & benefits, training and development and communications.

Recruitment and Selection:


  • Assist Senior Management with the recruitment and selection process including interviewing as required; responsible for all process steps after hiring decision for an employee has been taken
  • Manage the sponsorship/work visa process of any international employees as required
  • Manage onboarding and exit processes including conducting exit interviews
  • Assist with Induction process

Training and Development:


  • Assist with the organisation of employee training, development plans and development strategies
  • Assist in the monitoring of the Murphy's training budget

Employee Health and Well-Being:


  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and handbooks
  • Manage leaves of absence, including medical, maternity, paternity, unpaid personal leave, jury service, bereavement etc.

Performance Management:


  • Assist Senior Management with performance management issues
  • Assist with the full performance review cycle process
  • Follow up with the Line manager about the outcome of the probation and prepare the appropriate letters to conclude or extend it

Employee Relations:


  • Dealing with Employee Relations matters including disciplinary and grievance cases. Coaching and supporting Managers and Directors through any staffing issues with the view to find a resolution at an informal stage (including informal mediation)
  • Minute taking /acting as a witness & record keeping for all employee relations matters
  • Conduct investigation meetings and/or disciplinaries & grievance meetings as necessary. Support Senior Management directly with this process
  • Providing best practice advice and guidance on company policies, terms and conditions of employment and legislation

Compliance:


  • Dealing with various HR queries/matters, throughout the business, reliably and in accordance with legal requirements
  • Assist with the implementation and monitoring of company HR policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR
  • Ensure management are compliant with employment law and best practice HR

Administration:


  • Manage the monthly payroll process
  • Benefits management.
  • Responsible for updating the HR system such as new starter information and changes to terms and conditions.
  • Compile HR reports to include the production of accurate, monthly reports and statistics for management
  • Assist with specific HR and businessrelated projects requiring HR input
  • Assist with other duties as requested

Requirements:


  • Human Resource Management Degree or Similar
  • Experience working in a similar role
  • Human Resource Management Masters or similar (Desirable)
  • Employment Law qualification or similar (Desirable)
  • CIPD Membership (Desirable)
  • Bamboo HR experience (Desirable)
  • Excellent written and oral communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment with changing priorities and time pressures
  • Discrete with a high level of integrity and trust with confidential information
  • Highly motivated with an ability to organise own workload and drive results and work independently
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
