Data Quality is critical to the success of the Investment Middle Office Service, managing client data sets including the Investment Book of Record (IBOR).

As part of the development and rollout of a strategic service platform, your deep expertise in data quality management will drive development of data quality standards, metrics, related system enhancements and effective practices of data quality management within Operational teams globally.


Responsibilities:


  • Defining data quality standards, working with clients and internal data users to understand data usage and risk, implementing targeted data quality rules
  • Investigating data quality issues using results of testing and client feedback, establishing root cause and preventative measures
  • Working with technology and product partners to review and improve the design of systems and data feeds, championing improvements to data quality
  • Establishing dashboards and metrics: demonstrating progress on data quality improvements to clients and senior management with clear and consistent statistics and commentary
  • Reviewing tools for data view, data lineage, data quality workflow management, identifying development needs and developing the business case for enhancements
  • Embedding data quality in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and release cycles, working with technology and testing teams to ensure appropriate data quality standards are applied
  • Developing automation tools and data visualisations using tools such as Alteryx and Tableau
  • Establishing strong data quality management practices within Operational teams globally

Requirements:


  • Ability to engage effectively across teams, taking a leading role partnering with clients, project teams and technology in defining strategy for data management
  • Strong understanding of data components for an Investment Book of Record (IBOR) including full range of asset classes (OTC, ETD, FX, Cash, Equity, Fixed Income)
  • Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle including cash management and corporate actions
  • Strong technical data management skills, for example previous data modelling, data architecture or data governance experience providing an understanding of tools and methodologies to support management of data on a large scale
  • Excellent problem solving skills to identify, understand and address operational and technical issues, taking the initiative to drive change and enhance controls
  • Motivated and able to deliver with mínimal supervision, whilst working effectively in a team
  • Ability to partner in a virtual team environment across multiple locations
