Housing Management Worker in Depaul UK, where you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering individuals on their journey towards independence.


About Us:


Role Overview:


Our service at Middlesbrough works with high needs clients who have slept rough and have been supported into their tenancies.

We are recruiting to fill
Housing Management Worker role. In this role, you will deliver floating support to a caseload of clients on an ongoing basis.

The aim of the service is to support clients to sustain their tenancies and:

  • Develop and maintain the skills to live independently.
  • Manage finances including access to benefits and debt advice.
  • Access a range of services and community facilities to meet their needs, including health care, treatment, mental health support, advocacy, floating support, befriending and social and leisure activities.
  • Build on their individual strengths and assets to achieve the outcomes that matter to them in their move to independence and improve health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Interview and assess clients to help sustain their settled accommodation.
  • Support clients through a programme of regular visits.
  • Create a package of support around the client, signposting where appropriate.
  • Coordinate and ensure a smooth transition when supported or alternative accommodation has been found.
  • Keep clear and relevant records and statistics, and to ensure good communication with the project workers and project evaluators


Please note that this job opportunity is offered as a
full-time (37.5 hours a week), 12 months fixed term contract role.



What We Are Looking For - Person Specification:

  • Able to work on own initiative but at same time able to exercise sound judgement in knowing when to consult with peers and clients to meet the service KPI's.
  • A clear understanding and ability to implement risk management, information sharing and data security arrangements.
  • Experience of working with people who are categorized as high risk or have high needs or have complex needs such as mental health issues, drug and alcohol misuse, domestic violence and offending behavior. (this list is not exhaustive)
  • Knowledge of, or capacity and willingness to learn about housing management.
