As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and developmental progress of children with SEN.
Your responsibilities:
- Assisting the classroom teacher in implementing individualised learning plans
- Providing onetoone support to students with specific needs
- Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborating with other staff members and professionals to ensure the holistic wellbeing of each child
- Supporting students with activities of daily living and learning
- Assisting specialist teachers and education teams to ensure learners have a consistent approach to their education
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN or in a care setting supporting children desirable
- A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their wellbeing and development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and resilience in handling challenging situations
- A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting diverse learning needs
- Relevant qualifications or willingness to undergo training as required
