Overview:
Purpose of Position (Summary):
The despatch team member is responsible for the correct return, to a specified location or station, the clean, repaired, launder kit, bagged to the customers requirements.
Working alongside your other Service colleagues, so that collectively the laundry is returned back to brigades within the agreed 7 day turnaround objective.
A successful despatch team member will strive to get it right first time, be positive in their approach towards others, remain professional and respectful at all times, plus, contribute to MSA's culture that upholds the core behavior values.

Key Elements and Tasks
- Understand the 7 day turnaround process and the goal of the service center
- Ensure you aid and contribute to the 7 day turnaround process
- Always escalate issues that prevent you from achieving the 7 day turnaround goal to a supervisor
- Condition Code and close batches when necessary on Prima
- Always fold and pack garments correctly to meet presentation standards & brigade requirements
- Double check garment tickets matches the paperwork before packing
- Be aware of day order and brigade days
- Liaise with Drivers when needed
- Complete and file all necessary paperwork and dispatch notes
- Follow the specified process for laundry that is couriered back to customers
- Be prepared to move sections and complete other work when needed, that you have been trained on to increase productivity or efficiency.
- Take part in a weekly housekeeping check /tidy up/ and cleaning exercise in your work area
- Ensure all equipment used is according to the training given and the specific requirements of the machines being used.
- Complete "Near Hits" for all unsafe acts, resolving if you can, and escalate to the supervisor
KPI's
- An incomplete return of clean laundry not going back to a brigade within the 7 day turnaround time
- Customer Complaint of wrong location or wrong garments, plus missing garments
- Paperwork that is filed when not a full return of kit has not happened
- Shortages not escalated to the supervisor so that the return of kit can be completed
- Specific packing instructions for customer Devon
- A minimum of one near hit a month
- Maximum of 4 errors a month on tracked sheet
Qualifications:
Experience required:
- None, full training will be provided
Experience preferred:
- Secondary School level
