Production Planner - £30,000-£35,000 + Private Medical + 33 Days holiday + Early Finish Fridays + Market Leader + Benefits

The Company
Our client are a market leading manufacturer who operate on a global basis. Due to continued expansion they have an excellent opportunity to join their business as a Production Planner.


The Role


Reporting into the Supply Chain Manager, the Produciton Planner will plan, circulate and manage short to mid term production schedules in line with the company output and production targets.


Main duties include:

  • Analyse and understand customer and production demand.
  • Build short and mediumterm production schedules.
  • Daily progressing of the production plan by facilitating / participating in daily production meetings with production managers, commercial team and planning.
  • Monitoring the closing of completed Jobs
  • Review and when required, process stock transactions.
  • Use of Epicor ERP System to create a plan that cascades down.
  • Participatein Company stock takes.
  • Liaise with the commercial team on work flow / order levels.
  • Provide KPI figures for Senior Management Meetings.
  • Cover for other department members and cross functionality with Master Schedulerartment, as and when required.
  • Collate performance related data.
  • Participate in the continued drive to successfully integrate Epicor into business processes.
  • Seek to continuously improve Epicor planning and material processes and master data.

What We Are Looking For
The Production Planner will ideally have experience within a fast paced manufacturing environment.

You should have the following skills/experience:

  • Experience in working in a manufacturing environment in a planning capacity.
  • Minimum level of secondary education
  • Excellent IT skills including Epicor (or other ERP system) & Excel.
  • Good communication and written skills.
  • Problem Solving.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Exposure to Lean Principles.
  • Team player
  • Understanding of ERP Systems & Principles, Epicor / SAP or Other.
  • Experience of MRP
