We have an exciting opportunity available for an International Patient Coordinator to join the International Relations team at the Portland Hospital.


This is a critical role in providing a professional and efficient administrative and liaison service to patients, consultants and third parties.


Duties & Responsibilities
You will carry out administration and patient liaison duties as below:

  • Examine admission lists and plan work accordingly
  • Managing shared mailbox and addressing queries accordingly
  • Support with daily operational tasks, relating to patient treatment management
  • Liaising between consultants, secretaries, hospital staff and patients to ensure bookings are made and all details are accurately communicated.
  • Ensuring effective liaison between the patient and the clinical teams team for Guarantee of Payment queries
  • Act as point of contact to Embassies and provide relevant patient treatment updates
  • Assist on booking International/Embassy referrals
  • Ensuring patients' letter of guarantee are in place for each appointment and admission
  • Liaise with consultants regarding medical reports and discharge summaries ensuring that these are provided to third parties within the agreed timeframe
  • Assist in dealing with complaints ensuring they are directed to the appropriate manager

Skills & Experience

  • Previous administrative experience (ideally in healthcare)
  • Good general level of education
  • Ability to organise own workload on a day to day basis
  • Ability to multitask, coordinate multiple priorities, meet deadlines and act on instruction quickly to support patients and consultants.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Good customer care skills and organisational skills
  • Arabic speaking is a bonus but not essential to the role
