Description

We are looking for an experienced administrator and self-starter to support the development of the University's financial strategy through the work of the University Council's Finance Committee.

Working closely with members of the senior leadership team and colleagues in the Finance and Estates Divisions, you will make sure that the Finance Committee receives the information it needs to make effective decisions, anticipating and developing papers to advance its work, and manage the timely flow of business to the Committee and onward to the Council.

Based within the Governance and Compliance Division as part of the University Draftsman's team, you will also be a source of expert advice to senior University officers and colleagues on the University's formal decision-making processes and its Statutes and Ordinances.

You will have strong oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills, working collaboratively with both members of the Division and those contributing to the Finance Committee's work at all levels.

You will also be highly organised and have good problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.

You will be educated to at least first degree level (or equivalent), with a fluency in analysing financial data and an understanding of the higher education context.

If you are self-motivated, thrive under pressure and enjoy working with a wide range of people, then we would love to hear from you.

Please refer to the Further Particulars below for additional information about the role.

Interviews will be held on 7 February 2023.
