Description

The Research and Development Department at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust are looking for an administrator who will take responsibility for the smooth running of our office and support our paper based and electronic systems.

A key area of work will be the administration of our research databases that involves entering data but also ensuring the quality.

The role is varied as it includes supporting several teams that includes finance, commercial and non-commercial work streams.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a research administrator you will work closely with the research and development core team to ensure clinical research activity within UHS is initiated efficiently


This will include:

  • Ensuring accurate data entry on multiple research databases
  • Organising and administering meetings with the R&D team, research delivery teams and support departments
  • Acting as a first point of contact for customers for both written and telephone communication
  • Supporting the R&D team and senior managers with general administrative duties including filing, room bookings and arranging travel

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The following skills and experience are required for this post:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Administration of databases
  • Computer skills
  • General administrative experience with secretarial skills
  • The ability to work alone or as part of a team


Full training will be provided but you will be expected to manage your own workload to achieve the goals set by the team.
