Description
We are looking to recruit a Service Area Support staff at the department of Biomedical Services (BMS). This is a part-time permanent position, 22.5 hours per week.


The department is to provide for the care and welfare of animals in experimental research and in doing so we support the scientific community across the University.

We are, in effect, an internal business with researchers as our customers.


This position is an essential and integral part of a small team, you will be responsible for the service area of the animal facility offering vital support to the technical team.


The position will require you to prepare, clean and sterilise cages and ensuring that bio security is maintained in the holding areas.

You are required to understand the nature of the sterilisation method and understand the major implications.


We are looking for a well communicated person, able to follow standard operating procedures and able to plan the workload, ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner.
