Description

To provide a telephone booking service for Outpatient referrals, to be able to organise appointments using initiative in sometime complex situations and to ensure patients are seen in Trust/Government targets.

Various other administrative duties need to be done in order for the processing of appointments.


Provide support service (including cover for sickness and holidays) within the Patient Appointment Centre, dealing with any other ad hoc queries.


Service from the Department is maintained over 365 days of the year and it is expected that everyone will provide cover for statutory and bank holidays.

Register Referrals

Add patients to Waiting lists

Queue patients to specific clinics

Take inbound and Outbound telephone calls

Book new and follow up appointments

Ensure clinics are fully utilised

Arrange Transport and interpreters for clinic appointments
