FSB are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Head of Commercial to implement the Commercial activity of the organisation to achieve an ambitious growth and retention plan.

Deputising for the Chief Commercial Officer, this is a new role to FSB and isan exciting opportunity to drive forward the commercial plans and campaigns, and new products/partnerships to help achieve ambitious growth plans and retention.


What will you do?

  • Develop and implement commercial plans in the short and long term, to facilitate membership retention and growth.
  • Ensure the organisation is harnessing digital technology and developing strategies that will assist members to maximise digital development and engagement in today's modern commercial environment.
  • Take new partnership or income generation ideas and develop them into clear commercial strategies and plans, with milestones and deliverable dates.
  • Plan and develop FSB marketing and campaigns, in conjunction with Policy and Comms teams, to develop FSB's brand awareness. Review and adjust plans in line with ROI assessments.
  • Act as deputy to the CCO in their absence, providing information, reports and presentations to the CEO and/or Board of Directors as required.
  • Provide suggestions for new products or partnerships, seeking feedback from the Director of Sales as to the gaps in the current offering, and present fully costed proposals to CCO and the senior management team.
  • Identify potential sponsorship partners and liaise with the Head of Partnerships and Events to cultivate relationships
  • Liaise closely with the Policy Director and Comms team to maximise on the achievements of the Policy team in designing and delivering events and services

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience of working at a senior management/deputy level in a corporate environment
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of digital delivery
  • Excellent analytical skills, a proven track record of successfully identifying short term and longterm opportunities driven by market trends and commercial activity.
  • Contract negotiation

Job details

  • This role is based in our Blackpool Office that is within easy reach of the M55 motorway
  • 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
