Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Reviews Officer.

Provide a professional & compliant statutory review service on behalf of the Council,

primarily on matters of suitability of accommodation and allocations (registrations), which

supports service delivery, contributes to the growth and development of the service, and

the skills and knowledge of across the service.

  • Provide data, information and reports as required.
  • Actively support a learning culture.

2 Customer Service qualification
Knowledge and experience
3 At least one year's recent experience in a similar role, or
context and desirably within a public sector organisation,
making decisions on homelessness assessments.
4 Demonstrable experience of conducting statutory reviews
under Part 6 & 7 of the Housing Act 1996, and S202
Homelessness Reviews.
5 Experience of investigating fraudulent housing
6 In depth working knowledge of legislation, regulation, and
policy in relation to the provision of Homelessness and
Housing Services
7 Demonstrable experience of conducting independent and
objective enquiries and investigations on complex and
contentious matters.
9 Knowledge of governmental and political systems and
processes and experience of developing and maintaining
positive and reliable relationships with elected members
and their officers
10 Knowledge and experience of managing and de-escalating
conflict and communicating sometimes complex
information calmly, clearly, and respectfully of the
audience and the circumstances
11 Knowledge and experience of compliantly handling data
and information and using data and statistics to produce
informative reports
12 Experience of customer involvement and engagement in
resolution of problems and issues and design of services
