About the role
ENB's Finance Team makes a significant contribution to delivering ENB's strategic priorities.

The Accounts Payable Officer will report to the Financial Controller and will focus on the Accounts Payable operations, supporting a consistent high level of service and positive relationships with our suppliers and other contacts and on working effectively with all Finance Department systems and procedures.


Responsibilities

  • Day to day responsibility for all supplier and staff expenses payments
  • Enter and reconciliate credit card transactions and chase overdue credit card statements
  • Timely completion of bank transaction postings, follow up queries and discrepancies with colleagues across departments and escalate any concerns to the Financial Controller
  • Liaise with budget managers, staff, and external suppliers to resolve queries in relation to payments
  • Work to understand key priorities, procedures, systems and payment cycles in order to manage your own workload and meet deadlines

Key Selection Criteria

  • Some experience of working in Finance and understanding of processes in Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger
  • Experience of working in a numerate role, with regular use of Excel (intermediate level) and excellent attention to detail, with accurate data entry and checking
  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to prioritise your own workload in order to manage volume and meet deadlines
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with suppliers and other internal and external contacts
  • Ability to deliver a consistent high standard of work and support a culture of continuous improvement
