Overview:

We are looking for an apprentice to join us.

The official title / position will be
:Order Entry Apprentice

What's Involved?

The Order Entry position requires customer orders to be entered in an efficient and timely manner and be accurately maintained in the system.

You can expect to see growth as your experience develops. You will learn about other aspects of customer service at Samtec.


Duties:


  • Learn how to fulfil requests for new customer samples and purchase orders via customer portals, EDI, order entry queue, and the website.
  • Review customer purchase orders for special instructions and quality requirements, coordinating with the compliance team as needed.
  • Process and maintain customer change order requests.
  • Coordinate expedite requests between the customer and Samtec via Outlook or the website.
  • Monitor the 'pull in program', coordinating with Shipping on requirements as needed.

  • Be able to demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate organisational and follow up skills
  • Development towards effective time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks is also essential
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a team
  • Be able to follow instructions
  • Be able to demonstrate flexibility, good customer service, innovation and ability to look for win/win solutions

Working week:

8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday to Thursday,
and 8:30am - 4:00pm on Friday's.


Salary:

£16,000 per annum.


Future prospects:

Your salary will be reviewed upon completion of your apprenticeship program.
The company wants you to become a successful long-term member of the team.
