Full Time (3-shift pattern)
Job Focus:
In this role, you will be working on some of the best products in the industry across all the major engine projects and some of the best technology.
You will find any non-conformance on components using Visual, Dimensional techniques and your role will also involve working with cross functional-teams to implement and sustain improvement activities within the inspection environment.
Key accountabilities:
In this role you will operate in a busy, world-class engineering and manufacturing environment and will be responsible for delivering against weekly targets to meet customer requirements
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working to Technical Instructions to deliver consistent, high quality Inspection across a variety of different components and product families.
- Operate a variety of Inspection equipment, Vernier Callipers, micrometers, plug gauges, and tabletop measuring equipment.
- The interpretation of manufacturing drawings, customer drawings and written specifications.
- The assessment of whether the quality of components produced within the facility meets the required standards.
- Working within a team to effectively resolve quality issues and ensure your work is being completed to plan.
Skills and Experience:
- Timeserved engineering apprenticeship with an NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or other equivalent.
- Experience of working in a similar Inspector role would be preferred.
- Previous experience working with aerospace components would be preferable.
- Prior experience of the visual and dimensional inspection within aerospace standards is preferable.
- NPL Level 2 trained (or equivalent) desirable.
- Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, calibration, dimensional and visual inspection.
- Proactive and patient individual capable of managing your time effectively.
