RG Consultancy are currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger to join a well-established SME manufacturing company. This is a great opportunity for a Purchase Ledger who would like to gain some more all-round account experience. Training and support willbe given in other areas, however previous Purchase Ledger experience is essential for this role.

The Role

  • Processing sales receipts paid via BACS, credit card and cheque
  • Credit control and managing held orders
  • Inputting purchase invoices on to Sage
  • Matching invoices with delivery notes and raising any queries either internally or with suppliers
  • Proactively chasing up credits for disputed invoices
  • Processing twice monthly payment runs and adhoc international payments
  • Assist with handling incoming phone calls during busy periods
  • In time, to provide backup to the Finance Manager with payroll when needed

The Person

  • Minimum 2 years purchase ledger experience, within a fastmoving stock system
  • Sage Line 50 Accounts
  • Good Excel skills (VLOOKUPS, PIVOT tables) for reconciliations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Confidence to proactively investigate invoice errors and engage with suppliers regarding disputed invoices
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and operate existing systems
  • Ability to quickly learn new skills and identify areas for improvement
  • Flexibility to help with other admin tasks if necessary
