Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary community team.

ELFT champions the development of its Allied Health Professional workforce and an exciting opportunity has arisen to work both independently and jointly with a variety of health and social care practitioners to support the communication and eating and drinking needs of people with learning disabilities in Hackney.

You will work together with team members, service users and their support networks to plan and support the delivery of strategies, in the diverse and vibrant borough of Hackney.

This band 6 Speech and Language Therapy post is within the Hackney Integrated Learning Disabilities Service (ILDS) and the post holder will be actively involved in the wider Speech and Language Therapy network across learning disability services in ELFT.

ILDS is an integrated multidisciplinary health and social care service that works with adults living in Hackney who have a Learning Disability.

This post involves seeing people at their homes or in their communities.

The post holder will carry a caseload, independently completing assessments and interventions, including assessment and management of communication needs, dysphagia/eating and drinking difficulties and advising on inclusive communication strategies for people with learning disabilities within Hackney.
