Stone Marine Services provides essential maintenance to vessel owners worldwide, including Naval, Offshore and Commercial operators - In Dry Dock, at our workshop and at Sea.


We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced part time HR Generalist to join our growing team in Inverkeithing, reporting to the Finance Director.

This is a standalone generalist role and will be responsible for all HR matters within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of the employee lifecycle. This will include recruitment, on boarding, absence and performance management, employee relation issues and benefits.
  • Working with key business stakeholders to develop HR initiatives, policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for Learning and Development. Identify training needs, produce or source training for employees, coaching for key stakeholders.
  • Administration and management of the apprentice scheme.
  • Reporting on key HR areas, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with the QHSE advisor to ensure employee compliance.
  • Maintain employee records according to legal requirements.
  • All HR administration and project work.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience within an HR environment.
  • Must have HR CIPD level 5 or above.
  • Up to date knowledge of employment law.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in a fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise work effectively
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Focus on employee wellbeing and continuous improvement.
  • Team player.
  • Competent IT skills.
This position is for 24 hours per week. Work pattern to be mutually agreed. Due to the nature of the business, you may be required to work out-with core hours on occasion.
