Our client is a children's charity that serves as a safe place for all children to come and play.

As well as a seven-acre park and playground situated in Bloomsbury, London, they also have after school; and holiday programme and sports development programme,a youth centre and an early years programme.

They are excited to be recruiting for the new role of Facilities Worker - Sports and Open Spaces.

As a Facilities Worker, you will be an integral part of the grounds team, responsible for the day-to-day smooth runningand maintenance of their sports facilities and changing areas.

Role Summary

You will be an integral part of a team responsible for the day-to-day smooth running and maintenance of park and its sports facilities, including our clients three eight a side 3G football pitches, basketball court and sports changing rooms.

This is a veryvaried and fully operational role within the wider grounds and gardens team, and will involve a good deal of manual work, often outdoors.

Our clients sports facilities form an important part of their seven-acre site, providing opportunities for children and young people to gain essential access to high quality sports facilities for free, removing barriers to sports participation for localyoung people.

Alongside this, their football pitches provide essential income for the charity through the provision of commercial hire opportunities

We are looking for:

Somebody with strong knowledge and experience in the running of a facilitiesbased environment, working to a high standard in the maintenance and upkeep of our clients sports facilities, and the park and grounds as a whole.
A team player with strong communication skills, good attention to detail, who takes immense pride in their work, with a desire to provide the highest level of service to our community.
You will be inspired by the cause and excited by the opportunity to aid in the running of some of the best outdoor sports facilities in London.
