Description

A Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) position is available immediately in the department of Chemistry, as part of the research groups of Professor Andrew Cooper FRS and Professor Anna Slater.


We are looking to recruit a PDRA to join a collaborative project funded by the UK Atomic Energy Authority in partnership with Atkins and the National Physical Laboratory.

The project will develop and test organic material solutions to separate hydrogen isotopes using kinetic quantum sieving.

Two posdocs are already in post, and we have been awarded funding to extend the project to include computational modelling.

The position is available immediately and is fixed term until 31 March 2025.


Any applicants who are still awaiting their PhD to be awarded should be aware that if successful, they will be appointed at grade 6, spine point 30.

Upon written confirmation that they have been successful in being awarded their PhD, they will be moved onto grade 7, spine point 31 from the date of their award.
