Our client is an international furniture company that work with private clients, architects, developers and interior designers providing an extensive choice of furniture including wardrobes, library systems, kitchen and furniture for the whole home.


Constantly busy, they are currently looking for a Designer and Project Coordinator to join their expanding team within the new bespoke division.

The role combines design and technical skills with the ability to organise workload efficiently to facilitatethe smooth running of the projects.

You will be preparing drawings, presentations and quotations as well as managing live projects from design to completion, working both in the office and on site.


Duties and responsibilities for the Designer and Project Coordinator will include:

  • Preparation of design proposals, preparation of technical prints, visuals and presentations
  • Preparation of drawings and assisting with costings and quotations
  • Liaising with architects, suppliers and contractors
  • Handling CGI consultants to produce interior design concepts and visuals where needed
  • Assisting with producing technical information and the presentation material to win the contracts and subsequently to manage the project to the highest standards to completion
  • Assisting in the design phase, orders to the factory, checking confirmations, site visits and preparatory documentation for installations

Skills and Experience needed for the Designer and Project Coordinator role:

  • 5+ years' experience working on high-end projects in a design related project management role
  • Knowledge of kitchens and wardrobes
  • Strong project and timemanagement skills
  • A good eye for Design, interest in Design trends and the design community
  • Good presentation skills and ability to understand a brief and to explain and present ideas
  • Accuracy and attention to detail when finalising prints and designs
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (space planning and joinery detailing)
  • Experience in preparing quotations
  • Proficiency with the Adobe CS for presentations
  • Knowledge of construction methods and materials, and methods of surveying and inspection
  • Experienced in set up of FFE schedules
Salary on offer will be between £36k and £40k.
