Join us as a Treasury Associate, NWM- As the liaison between Treasury and business, you'll help manage balance sheet strategy and structure products, ensuring optimal resource utilization at the product level
- You'll also be a key member of the Treasury function, primarily focusing on funding, liquidity and capital requirements of NWM businesses
- This is a chance to hone your analytical skills where you'll be given support for training and development in a full range of Treasury disciplines
What you'll do:
In this key role, you'll support the business and Treasury team to build and manage a balance sheet that is resilient to economic and regulatory pressures and aligned to the organisation and business strategic plans.
You'll also be supporting the NWM Treasury team in funding disciplines, capital management, liquidity risk management, and metrics management, with associated controls.
In addition, you'll collaborate with business franchises and treasury stakeholders to effectively communicate Treasury disciplines and advisory capabilities, aiming to optimize value for businesses and the organisation.
Day-to-day, you'll be:
- Reviewing daily, weekly and monthly liquidity reports, adhering to strict deadlines, including funding profile, metrics, and funding composition reports
- Reviewing the quarterly Prudential Regulatory Authority FSA048 liquidity report through a Qualitative Compliance Review coordinated by Group Liquidity Reporting
- Producing reports for senior level committees covering key Treasury topics
- Reviewing key balance sheet metrics and Risk metrics
- Helping coordinate activity across the NWM Treasury team and assisting with implementation of new liquidity requirements
- Supporting senior Treasury team members in varied time critical deliveries and ensuring good governance of liquidity management
- Ensuring that the inputs to the liquidity reports reconcile to the balance sheet on a monthly basis
The skills you'll need:
To thrive in this role, you'll have knowledge of banking and Treasury products, maintaining a high level of financial numeracy, logical, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
We'll expect you to have a degree in a business or quantitative discipline with the ability to understand regulatory requirements to specify and generate appropriate regulatory reports and management information.
Additionally, you'll have:
- Experience in the financial services industry
- The ability to develop and maintain effective business partner relationships
- Good problemsolving skills with the ability to break down complex problems
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
