As a Relief Library Assistant you will support the delivery of library and information services working alongside staff and volunteers to ensure a high quality service, support the delivery of activities and events, assist customers to access online information and resources and encourage library use by a wide range of customers.

Based at Richmond Library you will cover staff absence when required, sometimes at short notice.

Your hours will vary according to the needs of the service, including weekends and evenings, and will be agreed on a mutual basis rather than a set pattern.


You will be passionate about reading, have excellent communication skills, the ability to work with a range of partners including volunteers, the ability to deliver a customer focussed service, and have literacy, numeracy and ICT equivalent to Level 2.
