Wise is looking for an experienced Workplace Risk and Compliance leader to join our Workplace team in a growing global environment.
This role will give you an exciting opportunity to shape the Workplace Risk teams across the globe, to create a safe environment for our Wisers.
Your Mission:
- Create processes, procedures and policies to ensure the safety and security of all Wisers globally
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to the team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and proactive risk management
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices, ensuring that the organisation remains compliant with all relevant health, safety, quality, and environmental legislation and standards
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for employees and contractors, fostering a culture of safety consciousness and compliance at all levels of the organisation
- Provide coaching and mentorship to your team, supporting their professional development and ensuring competence in their respective roles
- Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, demonstrating the value you and your team brings to the organisation
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of safety and security principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Analytical and problemsolving skills to assess risks, develop mitigation strategies, and make informed decisions.
- Experience in developing and implementing safety and security programs, policies, and procedures.
- Proficient in conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigations to identify areas for improvement.
- Familiarity with security systems, technologies, and tools to protect assets and monitor threats.
- Strong organisational and project management skills to prioritise and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, such as Health and Safety at Work 1974/OSHA or equivalent.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Extensive experience in setting up and maintaining Business continuity plans
A bit about you:
- Significant experience in leading Safety and Security teams ideally within fastgrowing global tech organisations
- Knowledge in designing safety plans, policies and conducting risk assessments for workplaces
- Demonstrable financial and data literacy experience including budget management
- Great organisation, multitasking and problemsolving skills.
Some extra skills that would be awesome:
- Formal H&S qualification (IOSH, NEBOSH, etc)
- Chartered Security Professional (CSyP) or working towards
- Working knowledge of mass communication tools like Everbridge or similar
- Experience with proactive travel risk management and tools
