Description
We are searching for a skilled and experienced Pipefitter to join our maintenance team for a contract in Immingham.Our company specializes in providing maintenance and shutdown services to the oil, gas, and industrial sectors, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
As a Pipefitter, you will play a crucial role in our maintenance team, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems and associated equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Install, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems, including but not limited to valves, fittings, and related equipment.
- Interpret and work from isometric drawings, blueprints, and specifications to plan and execute pipefitting tasks accurately.
- Cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes using various tools and techniques while adhering to industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct inspections and tests on piping systems to identify and resolve issues such as leaks, blockages, or faulty components.
- Collaborate closely with other team members, including supervisors, engineers, and other tradespeople, to ensure the timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental protocols, promoting a culture of safety compliance within the team.
- Document all pipefitting activities, including work performed, materials used, and any pertinent information.
Requirements:
- NVQ level 3 or apprenticeship essential
- CCNSG essential
- TMJI10 or MJI10 preferred
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter in industrial environments, preferably within the oil, gas, or related sectors.
- Comprehensive knowledge of piping systems, materials, and installation techniques.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced shutdown environment.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work in shifts and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Valid certifications/licenses required by UK regulations for onshore shutdown projects.
