Van Driver Cat B / Team Leader Assistant


The Best Connection are recruiting a Deputy Team Leader/Van driver for an established online retailer opening a depot in Scotland.


You will be delivering to Customers homes so a good level of Customer service skills are essential and must have a clean and tidy appearance as you are acting as an ambassador for the company.


Requirements:


  • Clean driver's licence is preferred but must have no more than 3 penalty points
  • Counter balance forklift licence, can be inhouse as long as you have proven experience.
  • Good customer service skills
  • Good organisation and leadership skills
  • Physically fit there is heavy lifting involved.
  • An update to date CV with checkable references.

Job Role:


  • Ensuring vans are loaded in the morning and all drivers are ready for the day ahead
  • All scanners/mobiles are working properly and loaded with that day's routes
  • Working and 5 days from
  • Monday to Saturday 6 am start
  • Delivering doors and flooring to customers homes
  • You will have your own van that you take home (No personal use)
  • Driver's must have a good geographical knowledge as you will be driving all over Scotland, 400+ miles per day.
  • Vans are fitted with Cab and Dash cameras and also fitted with telematics reporting speeding, harsh braking, acceleration etc.
  • Training will take place in their Peterborough branch (All expenses paid)
  • You will be provided with a Driver's mate barrow
  • Be prepared for an odd overnight if delivering to the north of Scotland and not enough time to return (hotel will be provided)

  • You will receive a competitive rate of pay
  • Monthly bonus paid a month in arrears based on Attendance, Telematics, van checks etc
  • Overtime Paid on the 6th shift at Time and Half
  • Holiday pay accrued separately
  • Pension contributions
