The Older People and Stroke Services team at Glasgow Royal Infirmary are seeking to fill Clinical Fellow posts to support the work of this dynamic and rapidly growing service.

The posts are available from August 2024 for a period of 12months.

The posts currently available are as follows:
-
Clinical Development Fellow (11 posts available) - hours of work will be 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (with a small contribution to out of hours rota including evenings and weekends). Development time of 1 day a fortnight is allocated to these posts.


These posts will be based in the Glasgow Royal Infirmary and will focus on providing inpatient care to patients in Acute Geriatric and Stroke Assessment beds and will provide cover within our older adult rehabilitation units at Lightburn Hospital and Stobhill ACH.

The successful applicants will be attached to an acute assessment ward on a rotational basis and will support the consultant, registrar and other junior doctor teams in providing high quality acute care and Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment for our patients.


A range of educational opportunities will be available and the post holder will be allocated appropriate Educational Supervision for the duration of the post, however this is a Directorate post and does not carry recognition from the Postgraduate Deanery for training purposes.


These posts are open to doctors who have completed foundation training in the NHS or equivalent setting and hold full GMC registration with a license to practice.

Experience of working in Older People's Service is desirable.
