An opportunity has arisen to join the Faculty of Medical Sciences' Student Recruitment & Marketing Team as Co-ordinator.

The Role


To co-ordinate and deliver a range of activities, services and marketing materials in line with the Faculty's strategic objectives in order to encourage the recruitment and conversion to the University of high quality undergraduate and postgraduate students from diverse backgrounds.

To assist with a wide range of other activities organised by the Faculty Student Recruitment and Marketing Team.

Key Accountabilities
Manage the Faculty's recruitment social channels, including YouTube, Instagram and Unibuddy, including content scheduling and quality assurance
Under the guidance of the Student Recruitment and Marketing Managers, lead the development and delivery of high-quality student recruitment and conversion events


This will include:
Working with academic school colleagues, to lead on the organisation and delivery of Offer Holder Events
Supporting the organisation and delivery of UG and PG Open Days
Day to day oversight of budgets for projects related to events
Contribution to the ongoing evaluation of these projects and activities, and the monitoring and tracking of individual students in order to evaluate the impact of events and gauge their appropriateness, effectiveness and impact for the target audience/s
Support international conversion activity, including pre-departure briefings, as well as visits and events for international applicants and offer holders and INTO offer holders
Line management of the Student Recruitment and Marketing Administrator
Support the representation of the University at a range of Higher Education recruitment events throughout the UK including large undergraduate Higher Education conventions, smaller recruitment and careers events in individual schools and colleges, and other recruitment events as may be identified during the course of the year

The Person

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to forge working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
Experience of video creation and editing as well as managing content calendars
Proven ability to plan and organise customer-oriented events or projects, including evaluation of effectiveness/impact
Experience of managing content for and promoting engagement on social channels, including YouTube
Excellent time-management and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage a complex workload
Flexibility and a positive approach to tasks, activities and situations
Excellent team working skills with the ability to initiate, develop and maintain productive working relationships with key stakeholders
Attention to detail, excellent IT and proven financial management skills
Initiative and a creative approach to problem solving
Experience of working with and enthusing young people about Higher Education
Willingness to work some evenings and weekends and to travel throughout the UK and stay overnight, as required
Full, clean driving licence
Receive Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB)
