Senior Strategic Area SENCO

PO9:
Starting salary £66,669 per annum, rising in annual increments to £71,058


Permanent/Hybrid Working


We are looking for an experienced and exceptional SENCo or Senior Leader to lead a newly formed Area SENCo Support Service which will bring together our SEN support teams within the borough to support schools to improve outcomes and reduce suspensions for our SEN children and young people.

The service will include the new Area SENCOs team and our Pupil Support Service which includes our ASD, Deaf and visual impairment team and our SEN Early Years Team.

The position will develop a service that supports settings to deliver their statutory duties but also play a key role in maintaining and improving the quality of provision and outcomes for SEN children and young people in our vibrant and diverse borough.

The position requires both a qualified teacher status and SENCo qualification.


The Senior Strategic Area SENCo will develop a strategic borough wide approach to support early intervention for students with SEN across all educational phases as well as working in partnership with our EHCP team, Inclusion Team and Behaviour Outreach Service.
