If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join Wessex Water as a Projects Task Controller in our Sewer Renovation team??In this role, we will help you get up to speed by providing on-the-job training and regular coaching?and mentoring to ensure you are able to perform in your role self-sufficiently.

Although your main base will be in our West Huntspill depot, this role could see you travelling across the picturesque Wessex Water region which covers Bristol, Salisbury, Bournemouth, Bridgwater and everything in between.
The position
The role of a Projects Task Controller is a balance of working self-sufficiently and as part of a team.?The Sewer Renovation team works within SOE to resolve issues identified through the internal teams and customers, completing more than 7,000 jobs per annum.
The team are also responsible for a large amount of project work including complex sewer repairs, rising main burst detection, manhole infiltration sealing and event duration monitoring.
Additional responsibilities include:
- delivering effective scheduling to our regional projects teams
- arranging traffic management, streetworks permits and any additional requirements to ensure works are carried out efficiently
- coordinating with Highways Authorities, and internal and external customers
- providing cover for our Sewer Renovations Task Controllers.
There is a close working relationship with the sewer rehabilitation and sewer solutions teams to provide enabling works and maximise the use of trenchless technology.
What do I need?
You will be used to working towards key regulatory and performance targets, so it's our effective scheduling is delivered efficiently.
Alongside the importance of communication is your organisation and time management skills.
In this position, you'll have to effectively manage a variety of low to high priority situations, so it is essential you are able to self-sufficiently manage your time effectively to deliver a flawless service to our customers.
Lastly, you'll have a sound understanding of Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Excel and SharePoint.Benefits for you?
