The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), the international federation for cycling, currently stages annual individual world championship events in each of its cycling disciplines (from Road and BMX Racing to Urban and Para Track Cycling) in different host cities around the world.


In 2023, the inaugural UCI Cycling World Championships ('2023 UCI Cycling Worlds') will bring together 13 UCI world championships from 7 different cycling disciplines in one unprecedented event for the first time ever, which will see thousands of the world's best able bodied and para cyclists vying to be crowned world champion and win the prestigious 'rainbow jersey'.

The 2023 UCI Cycling Worlds is set to be the biggest cycling event ever to take place.


2023 Cycling World Champs are seeking a talented co-ordinator to join this project in its final planning phase to support the sport team with a number of cross functional processes to support National Federations service delivery across the organisation.

This is a unique chance to be part of something different that will enhance Scotland's reputation on a global scale as the perfect stage for events.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Previous experience working in a fastpaced project environment within the event sector, involving multiple areas of responsibility.
  • Experience of working with Athletes and Teams is preferred.
  • Experience of delivery of International Federation led sporting events is preferred.
  • Excellent organisational skills and interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience of working in a multi
- stakeholder environment with several delivery partners

  • Proven success of working within crossfunctional teams to develop, implement and manage programmes.
  • Ability to develop and implement action plans in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong attention to detail.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of LOC structures and the wide range of functional areas involved in major sports events would be advantageous. Knowledge of National Cycling Federations and their performance / logístical operations is advantageous.
  • Knowledge and experience of using MS Office Suite of products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint at an intermediate or above level.
