Job Title:
Head Visual Merchandiser Reporting to: General Manager, Deputy Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Image/Commercial:
- Responsible together with the VM team of the store, for maintaining the store image by ensuring updated and well-detailed product coordination, mannequins, furniture placement and correct lighting
- Manages the installation of all seasonal image actions (licences, capsules and collaborations) according to brand specifications.
- Product knowledge: Is interested in fashion, understands the collections in depth, can carry out commercial analysis and provides the managers and area team with relevant feedback.
- Adapts the coordination photos sent by the VM Department to the needs of the store. Brings new ideas and proposes solutions regarding image related issues.
- Understands how to analyse the competitors and give relevant feedback to managers.
- Maintains ongoing communication between the VM team and the store manager to ensure a balance between image and commercial decisions.
- Delivery day organisation: Plans the coordination of new arrivals on the shop floor for all sections, ensuring that all new stock is efficiently displayed according to the visual merchandising guidelines and customer needs.
- Analyse daily, weekly, and monthly commercial reports and money mapping to make decisions on product layout and react accordingly to Company's sales/productivity expectations.
- Controls product levels in the store and communicate with senior management any product needs.
- Manages and organises VM material.
- Understands the furniture layout guidelines and makes sure the store is aligned with those guidelines.
Store processes:
- Conducts and organises together with the VM team of the store and the store manager regular floor movements and manages the resulting overstock.
- Works alongside the operational manager to ensure that the best practice of the digital devices is in place at all times.
- Guarantees correct and constant product replenishment in store.
- Key holder: If needed, assists managers in supervising the store opening and closing.
- Carries out other tasks needed to support the Managers in performing store duties.
- Customer service: Constantly ensures high levels of customer service throughout the store and is always ready to assist customers.
People:
- Identifies potentials and participates in the creation of the action plans.
- Trains and develops the VM team of the store in all image related matters (action plans, evaluations, 121s and Talks)
- To actively identify members of the commercial team with development potential and build a continuous internal succession plan.
- Responsible to organize and follows up on the trainings of in store image team.
- Monitor, support and follow up on the new starters induction and training and identifies development opportunities and potential talent and informs senior management.
- To lead and keep a high level of motivation to the team whilst deliver feedback in processes performance.
- Guarantees staff wellbeing, the implementation of best safe work practices and the compliance of all Health and Safety regulations.
- Manages the resources available in store according to the company's sustainability policy.
- Respects the opinion of others and promotes the company's principles of diversity and inclusion.
Experience and qualifications:
- Previous supervisory fashion retail experience.
- Prior Visual Experience within a fastpaced environment.
- Good team management skills.
- Market, commercial and competitor awareness.
- Visual flair and creative thinking.
